Wentworth Party of 5 coming soon!

We've been married for 9 years and have been blessed with 2 children, Niley and Cash. Yancey and I both had adoption on our minds even before we met 13 years ago. After chaperoning a youth trip 2 years ago, we both felt God speaking to our hearts that NOW was the time. We felt lead to international adoption. Two years ago, we didn't know anyone personally that had adopted internationally, and we had sooo many questions about where to even start. We prayed God would show us the way...and I have been AMAZED at God's hand in our story! Within weeks of praying, God provided numerous friendships locally of other families that have adopted internationally! So we got busy and officially started the adoption process in April 2016. We are excited to say that after a long home study journey we are officially "Logged In" and eligible for adoption from China. We are waiting to be matched with our daughter and we couldn't be more excited! We hope to be matched with her within the next 6 months and have her home with us by Christmas of this year! God has blessed our family in so many ways and we are excited to follow His calling to care for the orphans as He has cared for us.

Thankful Thursday

I hope to use Thursdays this fall as a day of Thanksgiving. Each week I plan to list 3 specific things that I am thankful for. I have so many things that I am thankful for in this blessed life of mine, but I want to really document these things. So...

1. I am so thankful for the health of my family. I am healthy, my husband is healthy, Niley is healthy, Cash is healthy, my parents are healthy, his parents are healthy, my brothers/sis-n-laws are healthy, all my nieces and nephews are healthy. Y'all the older I get and the more people that I met, I realize this is not the case in many people's lives. So many people face challenges each and every day due to their health or a loved one's health. Today's prayer is of Thanksgiving and also to pray for those that need healing, strength and encouragement. Thank you God for health, and I pray you lead me to use my healthy energy/time for your service and plans.

2. I am thankful for my church. My family is active in the church that I was raised in. The church I learned the love of Jesus, the church I walked down the aisle and gave heart to JESUS, the church I was married in, the church my kids were dedicated in. I am encouraged by my church family and church staff. I am thankful for the love, support, encouragement and I look forward to the things ahead from our church.

3. Today I am thankful for cooler weather! The weather is beautiful today! The air feels so crisp and nice. Thank you God for the beautiful sunshine and cooler temps this morning in MS!

So what are you thankful for today?

What's Up Wednesday?!

What we're eating...
Y'all, this cookbook is AMAZING!!! It is perfect for my busy on the go life! The recipes are easy, quick and delicious! The meals look and taste like you spent hours preparing and I'm telling you it is easy peasy! My husband and KIDS (shocker) have rated all the meals as a plus, so it's pretty much for go to for 3 nights a week! And she makes it easy to plan ahead, if only I would!

What I'm reminiscing about...
Someone emailed me a bunch of questions about snow skiing and winter vacations out west, and let's just say it has given me the SNOW FEVER! Take me back! I'm reminiscing about winter vacations and skiing with this hottie.

What I'm Loving...
Doing Outpatient Therapy at PATHWAYS! Outpatient speech therapy has always been my favorite and I'm loving doing it again!

What we've been up to...
Birthday parties. I feel like 90% of our weekends we do birthday parties. But I'm not complaining because I love me some birthday parties, and cake!

What I'm dreading...
MORNINGS...lol...I dread mornings. Every morning. I wish I was a morning person, I've even prayed about it, but I'm just not.period. I dream of getting up early, working out, watch the news, folding laundry, and drinking diet coke on the back porch with my husband before the kids wake to a warm delicious and nutritious breakfast...But HELLO!WAKE UP!...that's all that is, A DREAM.

What I'm working on...
PAPERWORK, PAPERWORK and More PAPERWORK

What I'm excited about...

It's almost fair time!
What I'm watching...

For some reason this new series has me hooked.

What I'm listening to...
LIFE, and it sounds so good! (most of the time)

What I'm wearing...
I got these bracelets for my bday and I'm loving them and wearing them pretty much every day.

What I'm doing this weekend...

Bowling and Mexican with SupperClub! I can't wait for some adult conversation with the ladies, because pretty much the guys don't talk to us.

What I'm looking forward to next month...
Pumpkins, fall fests and COOLER WEATHER! Can I get an amen?!

What else is new...

Niley is 5!

I can't believe we have a 5 year old in the house?!

We (well, Niley) have been planning a Unicorn Splash Party for over a year now for Niley's 5th birthday! She wanted a swimming party with unicorns. Well, mother nature had a different plan. The morning of her birthday we woke up to historic rainfall in our area and Louisiana, so roads were closed, schools were cancelled and homes were flooded. So plans changed but we were still able to celebrate our girl at Gym of Dreams in Brookhaven. So thankful for our friends and family that took the trip to Brookhaven and got out in the rain to celebrate!

So thankful for this girl making me a momma! I love the joy and shine she brings to our family!
Random facts about Niley:
1. She loves to be with others!
2. She does not like to be alone, at all!
3. She still loves to snuggle, hug and spread the love!
4. She started kindergarten!
5. She loves to help.
6. She's the youngest in her class, yet one of the tallest.
7. She still can't ride a bike well, even WITH training wheels.
8. She's terrified of a MOUSE!!!
9. She loves to go go go anywhere!
10. She's very joyful and makes others smile!

Wentworth Family Vaca- SeaWorld!

We decided last minute to take a long weekend road trip to Sea World-San Antonio!

We had the best time! Sometimes the last minute ideas, with limited planning and stressing turn out to be the best! This was certainly the case with our trip!

We bought a two-day pass and spent the first day at the water park! It was great to watch the kids splash and laugh and with the Texas heat the water felt great! Cash finally slept great somewhere other than a crib, so he and I took afternoon naps while Yancey and Niley got to spend some special time together. We watched some shows at night when it wasn't so hot. And let's just say that Yancey was as excited to be at Sea World as the kids were!

Niley does not like to be hot and at ballgames she is always asking Auntie P to share her fan. So this girl was so excited to get a whale fan souvenir to cool her off!

I can't believe how big and grown-up she is getting! Love her so much and thankful to have a girl to make memories and be a diva with!

My favorite show and I think Cash's too was the pet show! The best thing about it was it was air conditioned!! After the show, we got to meet some of the animals and Cash kept telling this dog "Good job, Buddy!"

Life is busy but we were blessed to get to travel and spend more precious time together making memories! I'm so thankful for my healthy and happy family!
